Mommy Mountain

Many chinchilla owners let their chins romp free in a chin-proofed room. Since chinchillas chew everything and are quite small, you must ensure that there are no electrical wires or small holes for them to get into.

My chin-proofed area is the bathtub. And of course to socialize with Chico, I sit in the tub and play with him. Chinchilla owners affectionately refer to this bonding time as “Mommy mountain” because chinchillas love to climb, hop, and explore!

    Ok first my bathtub is not chinchilla friendly, lol

    Second, I need those PJ’s it’s FREEZING here

    So cute! I’ve never seen a Chinchilla before. There was a book I had as a child about someone who owned a Chinchilla Ranch. I wish I could remember the title. It was a great book.
