In Our Thoughts: Dewey

December 1st, 2008 by monnibo | Sharing

Dewey, of The Hidden Side of the Leaf passed away last week. She was a new blogfriend, prolific reader and reveiwer, amazing blogger full of creative energy, and the founder and organizer of Weekly Geeks, the Bookworms Carnival, and the 24 Hour Read-a-Thon. Her husband posted a note on her blog this morning mentioning that while she is no longer in pain, she will be deeply missed. I don’t know really what to say, but I just wanted to express to all the readers and passers-by that Dewey and her family are in my thoughts.

“Birth, life, and death — each took place on the hidden side of a leaf.” ~Toni Morrison

I feel her absence…I just caught up on my Weekly Geeks this past week! I will miss Dewey’s energy in the blog community. Some of us plan to do a weekly geeks tribute this Saturday with our favorite Dewey posts and other stories. I urge you to join in even if you never participated before.
