New Hair!

March 31st, 2007 by monnibo

So I was considering donating my hair to Locks of Love, but the minimum donation they accept is 10 inches. So I thought I might donate just less of the minimum, since I didn’t want to lose 10″, but apparently they will sell it to hair dying companies to cover the cost of manufacturing. So there goes that idea… which sucks because guys want wigs too, and girls might want wigs with shorter hair. It was a nice idea, but silly Locks of Love. And I can’t handle growing it out any more, it gets stuck when I’m sitting in the car and then shoulder-checking pulls it and it hurts. And, my drain is gross because it’s falling out all over the place!

PRM Going Well

March 29th, 2007 by monnibo

So far so good with Pacific Rim Magazine. All the articles were due last Friday, and they were all done by this Monday (hehe). But the auxilary text is due this coming Monday and we’re doing pretty well with the Contents Page, Masthead, and Cover lines… in fact, I just confirmed the cover lines this afternoon!

Now I’m totally missing everyone! Jordana – I wanna hear about your England plans soon! When are you free? Let’s go out for dindin and drinkypoos! Janice – I just haven’t talked to you in forever! Call me when you have a lunch break or something! Leana – we’re at the same school at totally different times, let’s grab Timmy Ho’s before my classes! Anna – tea tea tea tea grannies!!! When your essays are done, lemme know! Kassypoo – When the midterms and essays are done, let me know because you and I have have HAVE to see you. In fact, Eka – when you feel better, you, me, Anna, and Kas should ALL go for food – take me to Helen’s! Nigel – lovalova for coming to Wild Garlic, but if you’re free, don’t hesitate to call me.

Things are puttering down here, and my parents are going to Spain soon… and yep. I’ve been pretty busy, got the car fixed and saw Solly today. The car is going in again tomorrow for the window. I made my appointments for an additional driving lesson and then my ICBC road test… CLASS 5 = BYEBYE “N”! And for my birthday, my parents gave me $$$ and I’ve only got a little bit more to go until I’ve saved enough to buy myself that Macbook (supa powerful for all my publishing needs!)  That’s basically a quick-and-dirty about whats up!

Wild Garlic

March 24th, 2007 by monnibo

I planned a dinner at Wild Garlic on Denman with the Idealites. It was soooo tasty, I’m just sad that people got sick and had essays. It’s sad that school is being so demanding. (Damn you PRM!) Anyway, we had tons of fun and it was so good. It was a bistro with dinner/tapas… basically it was different dishes enhanced by garlic!

Me and Evan.

Eka and Cheryl.

Nigel, Anna, and me.

Shabusen with Publishing

March 23rd, 2007 by monnibo

Friday March 23rd – Celebrating my 19th Birthday with the Publishing Students! All you can eat sushi at Shabusen; I booked a room for us and we had a ton of fun and food. I was so full of sushi and goma-ae and agadashi tofu… I could barely get home! I cannot believe that Margaret and Rachel went out for ice cream afterwards!

David, Laura and Margaret.

Rachel (with her newly dyed hair, yay me), Margaret, and Me.

Ginger munching on Rachel’s head… Me, Fiona, and Meryl.

Korean BBQ – Margaret, Ginger, Meryl and Rachel being primitive, cooking meat on the fire.

Then a fight broke out among the alpha-males – fighting for who gets to rule the tribe, and gain possession of Meryl.
