It’s the Most Crafty Time of the Year

I haven’t been crafting much (besides the knitting I blogged about) but I have been attending craft fairs and purchasing locally-made goodies. First, there was Circle Craft Christmas Market at the new Vancouver Convention Centre West from November 17-21. I bought some tasty treats from Milsean Shoppe (that are already gone), some butter toffee from Sweet Truth, and some wine jelly from Lone Willow Enterprises. Circle Craft Christmas Market 2010

Circle Craft Christmas Market 2010 postcard

This year, over 270 artisans are participating in the 37th annual Circle Craft Christmas Market. Meet wood-turners, glassblowers, sculptors and potters, clothing and jewellery designers, toy-makers, and many more. As well, check out various craft demonstrations taking place in the Market — blacksmithing, pottery, wood turning, and glassblowing — for all to enjoy! I’ll be there all this week (was there from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm yesterday) and I’ll be tweeting and blogging and Facebooking my eyes out. Totally Amazing Glass!! experience

Yesterday I had the chance at Circle Craft Christmas Market to take part in glass blowing with Malcolm Macfadyen. On Thursday I hung out at the Totally Amazing Glass!! stage and watched while some other students participated in the Ballz of Fire!! workshops. I have been working with Circle Craft on their social media and blogging and they suggested I try the glass blowing workshop.
