Vancouver’s German Christmas Market

The first inaugural Vancouver Christmas Market will hopefully become a new tradition here. After visiting the German Christmas Markets in Manchester, England I was very happy to hear we’d be getting our own. While it’s not quite like the ones I’ve been to in England (and I’m sure even less like the ones in Germany) we still managed to have fun. Remember to bring cash!! Circle Craft Christmas Market 2010

This year, over 270 artisans are participating in the 37th annual Circle Craft Christmas Market. Meet wood-turners, glassblowers, sculptors and potters, clothing and jewellery designers, toy-makers, and many more. As well, check out various craft demonstrations taking place in the Market — blacksmithing, pottery, wood turning, and glassblowing — for all to enjoy! I’ll be there all this week (was there from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm yesterday) and I’ll be tweeting and blogging and Facebooking my eyes out.
