N is for… News What would I do without my beloved RSS Feed Reader? How would I keep up-to-date with everything that happens?! I also get a lot of emails from various books & magazines & papers about the news. Also, speaking of papers, The Tyee is a free, online newspaper and my former English Teacher, Nick Smith, writes for them occasionally. He was recently granted the Tyee fellowship and has been doing a series on alternative education (like my small high school, online courses, blended learning, project-based learning, etc.) He interviewed me (more like we chatted on the phone) a few months ago for his Small Schools segment, which came out last week! Wow am I ever behind on my ABC Along posts! This week is supposed to be R… heh heh… I’m playing catch-up! M is for MOM… This is a photo of her showing me the house when I arrived in Todos Santos, Mexico. Here is a photo of her and I in Mexico at Hotel California. My favourite mom / family jokes are: She carried both us girls for 9-months and we’re both blonde-hair-blue-eyes like our father. And: She has three children, one is 20 (me), one is 23 (my sister), and one is 60 (my father!)
