A couple weekends ago we took the Ranch’s dogs for a long walk around Aldergrove. We walked mostly along roads but only had to have the dogs sit for cars occasionally.

One of the houses we passed either had a lot of dogs, was a private rescue, or maybe a doggie daycare. They had at least five dogs and more I could hear but couldn’t see.

My favourite was this bulldog who would run through their hedges and spread-eagle on the fence to bark at our dogs. CW snapped a photo with his iPhone—oh how I wish I’d brought my camera!

CW also sent me these pictures of Oscar, an Old English Sheep Dog. From the sounds of it, he’s excelling on lead and much better behaved during walks than his brother Harvey.

CW snapped this photo of Oscar and sent it to me just for Dogs On Thursday! (Isn’t he a keeper? CW I mean… oh I guess Oscar’s a keeper too. He’s a sweetheart.)

Anyway, Oscar was sulking because he’d just been told off (doing something naughty I assume). He apparently stayed behind the curtain for 15 minutes or so.

I’ve mentioned Elvis the hound dog before, and he is quite well trained when he wants to be. Here is a great video we got of him taking commands for a piece of salmon skin. CW is dog-sitting while his aunt (Elvis’ mom) is out of town in Las Vegas!

I’m not quite sure what kind of hound Elvis is, he’s a mix definitely, and I think he might have some coonhound in him. I love his floppy ears!
