Here are the bands that I went to go see on Saturday night at Pub340 for St. Paddy’s Day Drunkfest (no joke, that’s what the show was called).
Opening was Love for Money; this was the first time I heard them, and I really liked them!
Co-headlining was Los Furios; a ska punk band that is just so much fun to dance and sing along with. I’ve seen them before and I really enjoy them. They used to let the female sing a lot more, but I prefer their style with her not on vocals prominently.

And playing till three in the morning for their CD release party: The Dreadnoughts, a Celtic punk band with members from various locations across Canada who have now settled in Vancouver. Awesome guys, fantastic music to dance to!

The stage play was absolutely amazing! It was at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, which was a small, intimate theatre with 2 balconies and the floor. Our seats were fantastic; we were on the floor, row F, dead centre. The power of the orchestra was amazing and probably my favourite part. It took me a minute to realize that it wasn’t a recording, it was just that grand. The stage direction was also amazing, the different bits and parts that moved and changed were outstanding.
I want to talk about the voices, the acting, the characters and how they were portrayed, and the stage movements… but I’m running out of adjectives! It appears my favourite adjective is “amazing”. I don’t know how to explain it but just to say that seeing a play live that I already love the songs and story of is just so fantastic.
Thank you CW! Amazing Christmas gift. Love you!

[NOTE: I have a lot of classical/soundtrack music for when I'm studying... so I skipped when I got to one. I don't think it'd be fun to see "Concerto grosso Op. 10 No. 10 (Alexander Feast) - 1. Overture" by George Friedrick Handel for an answer.]
Let me know if you’re playing along!

Do you recall me going nutty when I got my tickets presale to Weezer? Well the concert was last night, and it was amazing!! They opened with My Name is Jonas, and closed with Buddy Holly. They even had winners from a 99.3 Fox contest up on stage helping them play a couple songs: Island in the Sun, and Beverly Hills. It was fantastic, there was a banjo, a violin, a xilophone!
I texted myself the setlist as they were playing, cause I’m a nerd like that! hehe. They also had polywhatever had their old bassist’s head cut out (before Scott Shiner)… so people could stick their head through for photos! I was a little short, but I did it anyway! Excuse the cell phone pics, I don’t bring my camera to concerts.
