Automated Poetry Project dispensersThe team at Word Vancouver (formerly The Word On The Street Vancouver) is fundraising for an innovative new festival event: the Automated Poetry Project.

Word Vancouver will transform ordinary vending machines into poetry dispensers! Poems will be placed in vending machine capsules and dispensed for just a toonie each. The machines will be in multiple locations in downtown Vancouver during the month of September 2013.

As you may know, I used to work full time for Word Vancouver, and I still work on contract with the team. So I can fully support the great work they do raising awareness and supporting the literary arts in Vancouver.

We need your help to launch the Automated Poetry Project. To purchase five vending machines, we need to raise $2000. All proceeds from vending machine sales will support local poets involved in the WORD Vancouver festival.

UPDATED—With only 2 Days left, WIN BOOKS!
In addition to the IndieGoGo perks, I’ve been told that if you mention me (Monica) when you donate, you could win signed copies of The Village of Sliding Time by David Zieroth, all things said & done by Marita Dachsel, or an unsigned copy of George Bowering’s Pinboy.
