Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page. Essentially, people share what books that they got in their mailboxes over the past week. I think it’s much more exciting to talk about all the books I purchased, gifted, or received. Unfortunately I can’t find an exact description of Mailbox Monday, but I think it’s okay for me to show you all the books I got last week!
A couple months ago my dad helped me make a yarn swift to go with the ball winder I got at FibresWest in March. We used this DIY Yarn Swift tutorial and I decided to video the yarn winding. The music is Walking on Sunshine by Carley Simon, and the yarn is Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks that Rock. I’m getting ready to cast on my first shawl ever. I’m planning to knit Argante or Gaenor by Corrina Ferguson. I was inspired by a local knitterfriend: take a look at Darcy’s gorgeous Gaenor!
CW also sent me these pictures of Oscar, an Old English Sheep Dog. From the sounds of it, he’s excelling on lead and much better behaved during walks than his brother Harvey.
CW sent me some photos of his mum’s cats chilling out at the house. Happy Whiskers on Wednesday!! This is Minstrel. I prefer to call him Poofa because I don’t think his name suits him. He’s the newest edition to the family. This is Charlie. When he gets really happy, he starts to kneed and puts his mouth really close to you and drools a little. This is my favourite photo of the bunch. Flossy is a gorgeous calico and very fiesty.
