If you’re on Twitter, #buyindieday is a little hard to ignore. If you’re not on Twitter, you may not be aware that May 1st is International Buy Indie Day. So make some time today to head on town to your local independent bookstore (or shop) and support your local businesses! Don’t know what indie stores are near you? Use the IndieBound store finder!     Huh. I wasn’t on Twitter yesterday, so I missed it. Sadly, the indies around here just aren’t at all convenient to my shopping habits. Of course, I’m a bad local shopper all the way around; I like boxes on my doorstep.

    Yeah, I don’t think we have any around here, either. The closest ones are about 45 minutes away from where we live.
