What are you passionate about besides reading and blogging? Tell us why you’re passionate about it. Post photos of what you’ve made or of yourself doing whatever it is you love doing.

I’m fortunate with this blog, I made it generic enough that I can blog about all of my passions. If you’ve been here a while, you may know some of the things I enjoy to do are craft-related, such as knitting, jewellery making, crochet (barely), scrapbooking, and sewing.

Also, I have been a vegetarian for 8 or 9 years now and that is something I’m passionate about. I’m trying to bring that to the blog a bit, for a bit of variety. I am also a student of Publishing, and currently working in the arts. This is something I love because it is very creative. I love events and events planning, design and publishing, just the whole industry is very interesting to me. And last but not least, web design. I started teaching myself in 2001 and have progressed to doing web design as freelance as well as at work. My portfolio is soon to be moving to a new home, so I’ll keep you posted.

ETA: I just visited some of the other Weekly Geeks (which is suggested) and realized all the things I love to do that I didn’t mention. I love to travel and explore. I love seeing the history and historical sites or buildings of wherever I’m going.

Which also leads to my photography love. I always have my camera in my purse, and I always have my purse with me. At least once a day I want to take a photo of something (like yesterday I saw the Afghan Knitting Bus) but sometimes I can go for a week without taking any interesting photos.

Here is a pair of earrings I made (and that I’m wearing right now!)

Here is one of my knitting designs. [Pattern available at Monnibo Designs.]

Here is me (right, with collegue Karen left) at The Word on the Street Vancouver, a national annual book and magazine festival.

Here is a banner I recently designed for Serena & Anna’s reading challenge. [War Through The Generations: WWII reading challenge in 2009]
