Safe yet Sad
January 3rd, 2009 by monnibo | Personal
I have arrived home in Vancouver safely.
I don’t think I’ll ever completely get used to the achey feeling in my chest when I have to say goodbye to my boyfriend in January. He won’t be coming to Canada for the summer for several months, and we’re back to long distance. He reminds me that I knew that this was the way it was going to be, and I think in a way he feels guilty. It’s not that I’m upset at him when we have to say goodbye, I’m just annoyed at the circumstance. However, that being said, I would much rather be long distance together than without him completely.
Anyway, the fact that I am back home means the following:
- I’m back on my laptop (didn’t take it with me)
- More regular blogging
- Henry (my cat) will be returning to the spotlight here on the blog
- I can browse through my feed reader and will be visiting blogs again

Welcome home! I did a bit of the distance thing with my hometown honey in college, but it hardly compares to crossing the Atlantic… I will enjoy seeing Henry again though!

Welcome home. How much longer does your long distance relationship have to go?

Glad you made it home safely. We left to come back to Japan on the first and it was snowing again a little that morning in Vancouver. How is it now?
Long distance is hard but thank goodness for the internet. Hope this is a great year for you!
