N is for… News

What would I do without my beloved RSS Feed Reader? How would I keep up-to-date with everything that happens?! I also get a lot of emails from various books & magazines & papers about the news.

Also, speaking of papers, The Tyee is a free, online newspaper and my former English Teacher, Nick Smith, writes for them occasionally. He was recently granted the Tyee fellowship and has been doing a series on alternative education (like my small high school, online courses, blended learning, project-based learning, etc.)

He interviewed me (more like we chatted on the phone) a few months ago for his Small Schools segment, which came out last week! [Read the Small Schools Article]

Pathetic Progress

September 16th, 2008 by monnibo

No one said my WIP knitting had to be good progress. So I cast on… and I hate casting on. I do the thumb method because it’s the only one I ever learned. And I hate how loose it is; I have to knit a foundation row which sucks cause the loose thumb loops are flailing all over the place. Ugh.

But here it is. One day it may be my Calorimetry… maybe. It will match my winter coat if it ever gets finished!
