Last night I got an email from 99.3 The Fox (radio station – I’m on the mailing list), announcing that Weezer (my favourite band) was coming back to Vancouver (for the first time in three years). I got all excited! My first real concert was Weezer back in April 2002, and we met Pat and Brian afterwards and got them to sign our tickets.

This morning, the presale starts at 10am and I’m all excited because I updated my Ticketmaster.ca account and I had it pretty much glued on the Weezer concert page at 9:55am. YAY! I got a floor ticket!
So I’m feeling all confident, and happy. Thinking, this will make a great blog post! And I can include those books that arrived a little while back that I won!

Yellowknife by Steve Zipp (from Steve Zipp for the 2nd Canadian Book Challenge)
Accidental Mother by Rowan Coleman (ARC from Literary Feline when she asked about our favourite literary couples)
False Colours by Georgette Heyer (from Lezlie of Books ‘N Border Collies via Sourcebooks)
Then I’m taking a break for a snack around 11:20am and I check my email. Imagine my excitement when Tracy of BookRoom Reviews has sent me an email titled “You Won!!” for the second time in a month! This is the motherload!! I’ve entered this contest about 7 times (each time offering 5 winners for 14 books) … and I finally won!! THANK YOU TRACY!!

Then I got home… and mail was waiting for me! The book I won earlier in Tracy’s other contest (wow she has a lot!)… Sleeping with Ward Cleaver by Jenny Gardiner. Tracy included a couple bookmarks as well as another book after she visited my website and saw my contest! She included the sweetest card and the book Carpool Diem by Nancy Star.

AND my Ravelry order came in!!!

I didn’t know you are a Weezer fan, sweet!! I saw them live with No Doubt for my 19th birthday many, many years ago. Damn I feel old! It was bloody fantastic.
