Spring into Reading
April 24th, 2008 by monnibo | Alongs, Booking Through Thursday, Books
Q: Do your reading habits change in the Spring? Do you read gardening books? Even if you don’t have a garden? More light fiction than during the Winter? Less? Travel books? Light paperbacks you can stick in a knapsack? Or do you pretty much read the same kinds of things in the Spring as you do the rest of the year?
Nothing changes. I read what I want, when I want. So there! I will lug around a big 800 page hardcover all summer if I want to. I may intersperse my big novels with “quick reads”, but it doesn’t depend on the season. However, what I will not do anymore is read more than one novel at a time. What can I say? I’m a monogamist reader.

So what do you do when that one book gets boring? I always try to finish the book even if it’s a toughy, but sometimes I have to pick up another one to take my mind off the first one for awhile.
