I find that I’m only doing Booking Through Thursday when I like the topic. *shame* Hehhe actually no, I’m not ashamed! Why force a blog post just to participate? You’ve just reached the end of a book . . . what do you do now? Savor and muse over the book? Dive right into the next one? Go take the dog for a walk, the kids to the park, before even thinking about the next book you’re going to read? What? (Obviously, there can be more than one answer, here–a book with a cliff-hanger is going to engender different reactions than a serene, stand-alone, but you get the idea! First, I write my blog post about the book! During that process I can savour the book and muse over my thoughts and feelings. I like to do it as soon as possible because the book and feelings are still fresh in my mind. You’ll see that The Other Boleyn Girl (written an hour after finishing) is much more in-depth about my opinions than The Book Thief which I didn’t get to until a few days later. Second, I chose the next book. If it’s a book in a series such as Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series, I read the next one…. until I’m out of books.
