I find that I’m only doing Booking Through Thursday when I like the topic. *shame* Hehhe actually no, I’m not ashamed! Why force a blog post just to participate?

You’ve just reached the end of a book . . . what do you do now? Savor and muse over the book? Dive right into the next one? Go take the dog for a walk, the kids to the park, before even thinking about the next book you’re going to read? What?

(Obviously, there can be more than one answer, here–a book with a cliff-hanger is going to engender different reactions than a serene, stand-alone, but you get the idea!

First, I write my blog post about the book! During that process I can savour the book and muse over my thoughts and feelings. I like to do it as soon as possible because the book and feelings are still fresh in my mind. You’ll see that The Other Boleyn Girl (written an hour after finishing) is much more in-depth about my opinions than The Book Thief which I didn’t get to until a few days later.

Second, I chose the next book. If it’s a book in a series such as Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series, I read the next one…. until I’m out of books. (I still need to read the last in the series but I’ve been distracted). Sometimes if it’s a really big cliff-hanger, I pick up the next book straight away.

Blogging about my books is much more recent of an action. I didn’t used to do this and only started after finishing The Lovely Bones and feeling compelled to write about it. Before I would usually crawl out of bed and make a cup of tea. With Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince I stayed in bed for nearly 2 days straight reading it. My mom had to force me to come down to dinner, she must have called me 4 times before I tore myself away.

I ordered this shirt a couple weeks ago from Worsted Knitt through Shirts of Berlin. I was PMing back and forth with Worsted Knitt on Ravelry asking about shirt sizes and colours, etc. I absolutely love the shirt!! (Sorry for the crappy photo… just using Photobooth on the Mac).
