Anne is hosting another Coffee Swap (I really wanted to participate in the Winter Wonderland Coffee Swap but didn’t because I moved to England in November 2007)… this time it’s the SPRING FLING COFFEE SWAP and sign-ups open March 20th. Help spread the word and get entered in the contest!
I made some buttons for the swap and sent them to Anne. Not sure if she wanted some “easter” theme ones… but I thought I’d throw them in for her perusal anyway.

This week’s topic for Booking Through Thursday is…
All other things (like price and storage space) being equal, given a choice in a perfect world, would you rather have paperbacks in your library? Or hardcovers? And why?
Ooo… this is difficult! For reading in bed I do prefer paperbacks just for ease of reading. However, for collections and series (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Sword of Truth) I like to have hardbacks because the collection is for long-time keeps. That being said, I’m not necessarily picky if I’m looking for a book (specific or not); I like to read the books and keep every book I buy.

Q: Have you done a swap before (doesn’t have to be a knitting swap)? What do you like best about swapping? Are there any personal “requirements” that a swap has to have before you will join?
I’ve done knitting swaps before. My first was the Knitter’s Virtual Vacation Swap and I got to “visit” Boston. I sent someone from France to Vancouver. It was more fun putting the package together than receiving one. And I’m sorry again Jessi if I was a pain! Personal requirements for a swap are pretty low… but I’ve not joined any of the Secret Pals because the requirements of involvement are pretty high. This is a personal thing but if I host another swap, blogs are definitely going to be a requirement; They were at the beginning of the swap, but some people didn’t like that on Ravelry so I changed it. We only have 3 blogless participants so I really don’t think it’s that big a thing. Blogs are super important when “stalking” your partner.

P.S. I might be a little MIA this weekend as we’ve got friends (see Nathan… not “Craig’s Friends”) from Manchester visiting us here in London. Today we’re going to the London Zoo… sound familiar? Nathan stalks me via this blog… and David reads it too but not as obsessively as Nathan. Natalie and Stuart are also here for the weekend.
