Travelling the Pond
February 19th, 2008 by monnibo
I’m planning on booking my flights this week… so I thought I’d officially update everyone on my plans. We’re currently in London until the lease on the flat ends (March 17th); we’re moving back up to Manchester where all of Craig’s family and friends are on March 9th. We’ll be staying at Craig’s Grandparent’s house when we get back to Manchester.
My dad is celebrating a big birthday this year and really wanted Craig and I to meet him in Mexico to celebrate. He has been doing a lot of real estate business in Todos Santos on the Baja Peninsula and I’ve been doing his web design. However, my father would be very disappointed if I didn’t try to get down and has offered to help with the cost. Unfortunately the cost of getting to Mexico would be too much for Craig as he’s currently paying for University and needs to save his money. After much consideration and thought of costs, Craig and I decided to spend the summer in Vancouver. I would go home in April and meet my parents and sister in Mexico, and he would meet me in Vancouver later in May. And like usual, Craig would work at Camp for July and August, saving that money too.
So to recap, I will be going home to Vancouver for the summer! I don’t know what’s happening in September yet. It hurts to have to think about doing long-distance again, but there is an Editing Course at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver that I’m interested in. My mom suggested to look into some courses in Manchester as that’s where Craig will be doing his next couple of years of University there. So currently September is wide open and I don’t want to think too much about having to say goodbye again.
