No, I’m not into polygamy, three-ways, or being unfaithful… I’m talking about the haberdashery department at John Lewis, a large department store here in the UK. It makes me melt! All the Rowan yarn… and then all the cool accessories!!

*sigh* If only it came in blue! It’s a knitting frame to sit beside your chair/couch. It’s amazing… got little pockets and a cloth strap with a snap to put your active yarn through so things don’t get tangled. Right now I use a paper bag – so student-budget!

I have to admit I was reeeally tempted by this needle holder last time I was in John Lewis. Right now I use this plastic zip bag that originally held pillow cases. The only reason I didn’t buy it was because I wasn’t sure it was long enough to hold all my straights. Also, I’d probably have to get a different case for circulars and my notions (stitch markers & measuring tape).

Now this Sewing Stool is just super cute. Maybe when I get my own house, I’ll get one in the right colour for my Craft/Reading room. Yes, you heard right — I intend to have a “quiet room” for crafting and reading. There will be a comfy knitting/reading chair with a fabulous lamp. The bulb will be about 150 – 200watts in a natural white. I don’t care if it hurts the planet, I do not want an energy-efficient-halogen-bulb for reading. It just hurts my pretty little eyeballs!

This is the inside of the stool. Cute isn’t it? Haha I’d have to get a proper pin-cushion though (one of the magnetic ones) because I can totally see myself getting lazy and sticking pins into the top of the stool.

A department store with Rowan yarn? Now I think I’m in love!
John Lewis is luuuvvvvverly!
Everything about them is fab, even their online service and delivery!
I once won £500 of vouchers and a day with a personal shopper at John Lewis in Cheadle – heaven!
The yarn dept in the Trafford Centre branch is top banana. They have a bargain bin that is brimming with beautiful end lots too.
I heart John Lewis big time!
I’ll take one of each, thanks. Sigh. Seriously, I NEED that stool.
