Ravelry
July 15th, 2007 by monnibo | Knitting, Swap
I just heard about Ravelry… I am out of the loop. The online knitting/yarn-arts community is huge. It feels like grade 8 – I want in but I’m worried that they won’t accept me! I’m not that good at knitting. I just try to be. Anyway – I signed up for an invite to Ravelry so we’ll see what happens.
I would also love to host/co-host a swap… I’m really getting into it. I miss hosting and organizing events at school. I think it’d be tons of fun to do it online with a cohort of knitters!

This will more than drive you nuts, but if you want to see where you are on the list of those waiting:
http://www.ravelry.com/antsy
but don’t say I didn’t warn you. Actually if you have not been knitting for long and are still in the beginning stages of hording yarn or avoiding the pile of UFO’s, you could use Ravelry (when you get in) to organize yourself as you go. See? Your cup is half full (in other words, look at the bright side…).
I won’t tell you where I am. I will post it in my blog tomorrow. Working on the writing tonight, if I can quit looking and writing to others in their blogs.

Ravelry is for ANY knitter or crocheter — ANY skill level — It’s all what you make of it. Use it to inspire and get ideas.. you may just surprise yourself and start knitting ALL the time!
In the meantime of getting your Ravelry invite — Take pictures of EVERYTHING regarding your knitting… your yarn, your current, past and future projects, etc…
Enjoy!
