Nano Sock & Lovely Weekend

June 24th, 2007 by monnibo

In knitting news, I’m knitting Craig an iPod Nano Sock. I technically finished it this weekend – it’s just a CO 9sts and st st until it can wrap around the Nano (head to toe, to head)… then you stitch up the sides. Well, I discovered that 9sts CO is a tad too small. While the Nano is snug inside it’s new home… the side stitches take up a little too much space. I’m going to frog it and CO 12sts instead. It’s just a little guy so it’s not gonna take me long. But once I’m done, I’m going to embroider (in yarn) the Apple apple as per Craig’s request.

Speaking of Craig, we had a lovely weekend. Turn away now if you don’t like the mushy boyfriend stuff. Anyway, it was our first proper weekend together since he got here one week ago. My parents just came back into town this evening… so we had the whole weekend just to mush in the living room on the couch, watch movies & TV, and play on my laptop. It was great! We did run a few errands, and we got to see Shrek 3. We wandered around Oakridge and popped in to see Anna quick at Banana Republic.

We had so much fun just hanging around with the house to ourselves… I got tickled beyond belief… at one point I was crawling away yelling “I’m free! I’m free!” … then Craig dragged me backwards. hahah … and also he stole my toes and wouldn’t give them back (holds them) and because he has my toes, I start smacking him and pulling on his ears… and he says to calm down… and I say to give me back my toes, to which he replies, not until you stop hitting me. It’s a vicious circle because I’m only slapping him because he has my toes!! (I’m veeery ticklish you see).

I made him dinner on Friday night… and he made me breakfast on Saturday. Then really, Craig made Spaghetti Bolognese (I helped boil water for pasta, and I was going to make Garlic Toast) for dinner on Saturday. And then this evening after I drove out to camp, Craig treated me to a nice relaxing dinner at White Spot (Aldergrove doesn’t have much.) Then we just hung out at Susan’s house with the dogs watching Family Guy. I didn’t stay over (even though I don’t have school till 6pm tomorrow) because Craig said he wanted me to be able to sleep in, not have to get up and help with chores. He was basically falling asleep with his head in my lap so I said he should go to bed not fall asleep on the couch… and I drove home at 10:45pm. But Mr. Concerned called me at 11:50pm making sure I got home safely. Awww… :)

It’s times like that, that make me love him even more.
