I knit Henry a snake by mother’s request. He loves it. As soon as he met it he killed it with his claw and teeth and marched into the kitchen carrying his conquest in his mouth. I believe that he and his snake will be ever-so-close.

It may have taken me a long time, but I finally finished it. I’m especially proud of the picot edge on the holly leaves. Sometimes I didn’t know what I was doing; I watched a video of picot edging online and CW’s mum showed me a couple things before I left.

CW’s grandmother gave me a bunch of yarn before I left also so I’m sending this back to her as a thank-you.

I will knit what Grandma Pat taught me. I will knit baubles, dolls and tea cozies. I will learn to quilt. I want to make myself a quilt; I sort of wish I’d gotten Monique to teach me. I want to rent a pottery wheel. I want to make cups or bowls or something.

Hope everyone else is starting the New Year better than me. Since I got up at noon everything’s been slowly teetering. Happy New Year anyway. Love you all ….. wish I could make it to Jimmy’s dinner and see everyone. (8:43pm)
